Refinished furniture
Alrighty sooo I don't have a full BEFORE picture ... but this thing was a pain in the butt! In the end it looks amazing though....so I started staining it with a grey I though I liked and well I didn't so I had to start from scratch....I resanded every little nook and cranny
And I finally found a product I liked!....
This is called cape cod gray...I put in on with a a thick brush and small strokes,
And this is what the garage looked like..needless to say nick was pleased
I was finally done and excited and stain was EVERYWHERE...
side note always put down a protectent for the floor
(rooky mistake).
Then my amazing husband helped me put on all the hardware afterwards
The table went from a regular table to an ottoman type table because we wanted to be able to store blankets and stuff in without trying to stuff it in those tiny doors, plus the cabinets are deep and it was just an easier option for us.
Finished product!
And the side tables.
I painted the hardware with
Flat chestnut...I love the contrast and the way it sparkles with the light hitting it.
Next project...we got this from a random raffle we decided to enter at our local grocery store..we said sure why not and we both entered not thinking we would win but we did both of us..so we got two of them and gave one to Nick's uncle. Well this sat in the garage and just collected dust and spider eggs! I mean who really drinks labatts?? gross! Soooo I decided lets paint it.
This color worked perfect....It needed a few coats and a day to dry but it looks pretty...I'm thinking I can put some dirt and some flowers in there but since we plan on moving soon I might wait until we get to the new place to do that..
Instead we can put some ice and some drinks in there when we have a bbq!
This is another project I started yesterday
It's a pain to sand because it has a lot of nooks and crannys but I think for my idea I have in store for it will all be worth it!
Stay tuned!
xoxo H
